After setting up your load sync integration, it’s important to verify that the sync is working properly. Use this verification guide to troubleshoot any issues. If problems continue, please contact your Cargado representative.
1

Validate Initial Sync

Access your environment at app.cargado.com (production) or app.sandbox.cargado.com (sandbox). Search for a load by id to confirm the load was synced.
Troubleshooting:
  1. Verify API calls are correct and check for any returned error codes.
  2. Confirm your sync integration either runs scheduled updates or real-time updates as changes are made in the TMS.
2

Validate Data Mappings

Check the transformation of your freight data.
  • Availability / Status - Is the load availability correct according to your TMS?
  • Stops - Do your stops have the correct address / coordinates?
  • Commodity - Is your commodity name and weight correct?
  • Appointment Times - Are the appointment times correct? Are they in the same timezone as your TMS?
  • Reefer Loads - Are your reefer loads accurate? Do they have the right temperature range and associated services or equipment?
  • Open Deck Loads - Are your flatbed loads accurate? Do they have all the right services/equipment (ex. tarps or chains)? Are your unique flatbed trailers mapping correctly (ex. Conestoga, Removeable Gooseneck, Double Drop, etc.)?
  • Hazmat Loads - Are your hazmat shipments correctly marked as hazmat in Cargado?
  • Preloaded Drop - Are your preloaded trailer drops correctly marked as DROP on pickup or delivery stops in Cargado?
  • Border Crossing - If your TMS identifies the border crossing, is it correct in Cargado?
  • Multi-Leg Shipments - If your TMS supports multi-segment/leg shipments, is each segment mapped to a different load in Cargado?
3

Validate Data Changes

Confirm that data changes are happening in Cargado.
  1. Verify that new loads are created Confirm that your new load is available in Cargado by searching for the ID.
Troubleshooting: Check that your IDs uniquely name your route segments. Sometimes a shipment/movement/order will have more than one route segment and each of those segments will probably map to a single Cargado load.

  1. Verify that existing loads are updated Confirm that an existing load in Cargado is updated after updates are made in your TMS. If you previously set any data in Cargado, is that information correctly preserved after the update?

  1. Verify load postings are taken down Confirm loads are no longer available in the marketplace when the load is canceled, assigned externally, or ineligible for the marketplace (e.g., ocean freight, LTL).
Troubleshooting: Verify your status mapping covers all states: ON_HOLD, AVAILABLE, BOOKED, and CANCELLED.
4

Posting

Confirm that you can post loads created in Cargado by your TMS.
  1. Ensure loads are fully described Load details must be fully filled out before posting. Go to app.cargado.com and search for a load by id and confirm that all required fields are filled out. If not, you may need to create a lane with the missing details that will be used to infer missing details when matching loads are synced.
  • Complete and accurate address information (note: addresses may undergo normalization)
  • Accurate pickup/delivery times with correct timezone settings
  • Proper stop reference IDs for facility check-in
  • Complete multi-stop handling (verify all stop details, appointments, addresses, and reference numbers)

  1. Validate load posting Ensure loads are posting to the marketplace by setting up a rule to auto-post loads. Be sure to move the load to the available status in your TMS.
Troubleshooting: Confirm postingStatus is set to AVAILABLE in the integration when the load is moved to available in the TMS.
